Are Trinitarians committing blasphemy?
Chapter 14

What is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit?

Since Jesus said blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, some automatically conclude that this means the Holy Spirit must be another person just like the Father and the Son. This wrong conclusion comes about from a lack of understanding of what blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is.

In Matthew 12:22-32 we find Jesus casting out a demon which rendered the possessed one blind and dumb. The Pharisees claimed He did it by the power of the devil. But Jesus, being fully man, said He did it by the SPIRIT OF GOD.

Now let us read carefully Matthew 12:22 – 32 “Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw. 23. And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David? 24. But when the Pharisees heard [it], they said, This [fellow] doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. 25. And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: 26. And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? 27. And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast [them] out? therefore they shall be your judges. 28. But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. 29. Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house. 30. He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. 31. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy [against] the [Holy] Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 32. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the [world] to come.”

He then informs them that they can speak against the SON OF MAN and be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. Why?

Because verse 28 says Jesus did this by the power of the SPIRIT OF GOD. Remember that Jesus was the Word made flesh and was fully man. The Pharisees were not insulting the SON OF MAN but the SPIRIT OF GOD by whose power the demon was cast out and hence were blaspheming the Spirit of God by attributing the work of the Holy Spirit to Satan.

Thus Matthew 12:22-32 reveals that the unpardonable sin and blasphemy against the Holy Spirit to be attributing the work of the Holy Spirit to Satan.

Could Trinitarians be guilty of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit?

If the “Spirit of God” is the “Spirit OF God the Father” just as the Bible states, and not something called “god the holy spirit” which the Bible never says, then the Trinitarian is crediting the work of the Spirit of the Father, to a third god, a place that Satan imperceptibly occupies. So the Trinitarian is crediting the work of the Spirit of the Father to the “god the holy spirit,” rightly put they are in ignorance crediting Satan. No one should be ignorant of the truth that has been revealed.

To state this another way for clarification, if the Trinity doctrine is wrong, which the Bible proves that it is, along with the Pioneers and the Spirit of Prophecy, then the “god the holy spirit” is really a creation of Satan, rather than the Spirit of the Father.

And if it is a creation of Satan, who would Trinitarians be attributing the work of the Holy Spirit to? They would inadvertently be attributing the work of the Spirit of God to Satan which is in fact the unpardonable sin! Blasphemy! No serious Seventh-day Adventist can afford to get this wrong.

God’s prophet spells it out in unmistakable terms: “What constitutes the sin against the Holy Ghost? It is willfully attributing to Satan the work of the Holy Spirit.” — (E.G. White, 5T 634.1, 1889

Ellen White gives another definition for blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

“The sin of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit does not lie in any sudden word or deed; it is the firm, determined resistance of truth and evidence.” — (E.G. White, Manuscript 30, 1890)

It is not rejecting someone called “god the holy spirit.” It is resisting Truth and Evidence! Investigation in these regards is compulsory for what does it profit a Seventh-day Adventist to be a tithe paying, Sabbath-keeping Seventh-day Adventist who embraces the satanic doctrine of the Trinity, without examining the truth and the evidence.

If the Holy Spirit is speaking to you and giving you truth and evidence which you choose to ignore, then you are resisting the Holy Spirit. You are held just as responsible as if you did investigate the truth and evidence and still rejected it. This cannot be forgiven because they have become deaf to the voice of the Spirit of God. This is not a side issue and cannot be dismissed as irrelevant. Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit cannot be forgiven and eternal life is therefore lost. Learn the truth and repent for your past ignorance, for we have a loving, forgiving God.

If you are not aware that the Trinitarian is breaking the first Commandment, you need to read and study chapter 13.
